Волиняка “Volynyaka” drone enters official service with Ukrainian military

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially codified and authorized the use of the domestically produced unmanned aerial system “Volynyaka” in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The announcement was made by the Main Directorate for Life Cycle Support of Armament and Military Equipment of the Ministry of Defense.

“Volynyaka”: A Versatile Bombing Hexacopter

The “Volynyaka” UAV is designed to destroy a wide range of enemy targets, including heavily armored vehicles, bunkers, and concentrations of enemy personnel. The first versions of the drone have been successfully used on the battlefield since the early months of the full-scale war, having destroyed hundreds of enemy assets. Updated versions of the system offer improved performance and can operate effectively in extreme conditions — including poor weather, twilight, and high winds.

Technical Features

The drone system includes a control panel, pilot goggles, a signal repeater, and a reusable hexacopter equipped with six brushless motors. “Volynyaka” is capable not only of dropping munitions powerful enough to destroy heavy armor but also performing logistics missions by delivering critical equipment to frontline positions.

It features a unique release mechanism that supports up to 80% of the munition types used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The drone’s frame is modular and compact when disassembled, allowing for easy transportation to the operational area.

Battery capacity: 60,000 mAh.
