XIII International Specialized Exhibition "Arms and Security – 2016" (Kyiv. October 11-14, 2016,)

120 mm mobile mortar system (MMS), developed and manufactured by the Ukrainian Advanced Research and Development Agency and Ukroboronservice, was among new developments showcased at the exhibition.

The main feature of the mobile mortar system is its singular mobility. It is capable to be deployed automatically within 30 seconds. Its disassembly time after a salvo is 20 seconds. MMS is not just a mortar, but a system equipped with communications, control and intelligence systems, including UAV. Besides, the system is easy to control during firing, which is carried through a special tablet. Another feature of the MMS is that it has a significantly increased horizontal firing angle (from 15 to 45 degrees), which greatly expands its firing capabilities.
