The Mykolaiv Armored Plant has overhauled and upgraded next batch of BRDM-2L1 armored reconnaissance vehicles of the Ukrainian Army.
This party of eight BRDM-2L1, the first technique which has undergone major repairs and upgrades at the Mykolaiv Armored Plant already within the framework of this year's state defense order, reports the Ukroboronprom press service.
Taking into account combat experience of the Ukrainian Army, the company's experts enhanced capabilities of the basic vehicle. In particular, the BRDM-2L1 now boasts the latest navigation and communication devices, a thermal imaging night control system; crew location changed; and better ergonomics due to side hatches with reinforced armor, which shortens exiting time and simplifies operation the armored vehicle.
Mykolaiv Armored Plant is one of the main enterprises of Ukroboronprom SC, specializing in the manufacture and upgrading of armored wheeled vehicles.
