First Procurement of Inclusive Daily Field Rations Announced
The Ministry of Defense’s logistics operator has launched a tender to procure daily field rations — for the first time, including inclusive options: halal and kosher.
The procurement is divided into two separate tenders:
- Tender #1: Traditional rations — 14 standard menus per box. Nearly 1 million rations. Expected contract value: over UAH 265 million.
- Tender #2: Combined rations — standard, halal, and kosher (18 menus per box, including 2 halal and 2 kosher). Expected value: over UAH 61 million for 180,000 rations.
The deadline for submitting bids is June 19, 2025.
Given that this is the first inclusive food tender of its kind, DOT (the Defense Rear Operator) encourages interested bidders to seek consultation on halal and kosher production standards. Representatives of religious communities will be involved to ensure comprehensive and accurate information is provided.
