Combat Composition of the 17th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Announced
The newly established 17th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces has announced which combat brigades are part of its structure.
Specifically, the corps includes the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Velykyi Luh" and the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General-Khorunzhyi Marko Bezruchko, both formed in 2022, as well as the longstanding 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade. So far, this is the smallest corps with a publicly known composition. An artillery brigade is also expected, but no information has been provided about it yet.
It should also be noted that the 17th Corps, like other similar formations, is expected to include a full set of combat and support units, typically structured as follows:
- Separate reconnaissance-strike battalion
- Separate communications battalion
- Separate support battalion
- Separate logistics battalion (materiel support)
- Separate repair and recovery battalion
- Separate security and supply battalion
- Reserve (training) battalion
