The production of a wide range of ammunition is a task that the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has set before domestic defense industry, and this strategic issue is under constant control of the NSDC of Ukraine.

This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov during his visit to "Artem" State Joint Stock Holding Company, which is part of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom".

Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine inspected a new processing line for the production of missile bodies, which was installed by the engineers of "Artem" SJHC jointly with foreign partners. According to him, in the nearest future, mass production of missile bodies will be launched on this unique processing line, which will "reliably protect our country".

"The uniqueness of this equipment lies in the fact that missiles are manufactured from superalloys which must withstand tremendous pressure and temperature load. Therefore, even insignificant microscopic defects are unacceptable for these products", - Mr. Turchynov emphasized. "We do not copy someone's technology, but provide a new quality of our weapons and their superiority over Russian analogs", - he added.

Answering the journalists' questions, Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine stressed that thanks to the work of the Ukrainian defense industry, the shortage of ammunition and missiles required by our Armed Forces would be eliminated. Also, Oleksandr Turchynov told about the launch of the production by "Artem" SJHC of bodies for 152-mm projectiles by modernizing and upgrading the powerful press equipment, as well as about the plans of "Ukroboronprom" to create new modern processing lines that would ensure the production of wide-range ammunition. These issues were discussed at a meeting held by Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine with the top management of the defense concern.
