The second stage of preliminary tests of Ukrainian jet rockets "Typhoon-1" for maximum range is underway on the State proving ground in the Odesa oblast within of the large-scale missile tests.

These are 122mm caliber ammunition to replace jet rockets for Grad (Hail) multiple rocket launcher system (MRLS). The Ukrainian model, according to the manufacturer, has improved characteristics.
The original Grad rocket has a range of about 20 kilometers (12 miles), and the Ukrainian rocket is up to 40 km). A guided modification of the Typhoon-1M rocket is also being developed.
