On the basis of the First Presidential Brigade of Operational Assignment named after Hetman Petro Doroshenko, a selection stage for the right to wear a beret with honors was held for servicemen of the Northern Operational-Territorial Association of the National Guard.
The beret with honors is a coveted goal that not everyone can achieve. After all, those who want to wear such a beret must pass difficult tests – beyond the power of the average person.
Running more than 10 kilometers in full ammunition on rough terrain with overcoming artificial and natural obstacles, performing logical tasks, providing first aid to a conditional victim, exercises for accuracy in combat weapons and performing physical exercises – all this and much more must be done by candidates. The Guardsman who receives this "trophy" is considered to be the elite and most trained serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine.
"Such events have been held for more than a year. And it is very good that every year more and more people want to test themselves. This year, ten servicemen have passed the selection stage, and they will continue to train until the all-Ukrainian test," said Colonel Vasyl Dudurych, the brigade's deputy commander.
