On April 18, 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine issued Order No. 252, officially approving new beret badges and collar insignia for the ceremonial and everyday uniforms of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The beret badge features a contoured hexagon overlaid with a relief image of a mechanical, robotic swallow.

This badge depicts a stylized fortress outline with six bastions, over which two crossed rifles and a vertically positioned spear are superimposed. All elements are rendered in relief.

Additionally, the ornamentation on the visor of the Ukrainian Army General's peaked cap has been removed, following the abolition of this military rank.
