Ukraine’s state-owned Kyiv Design Bureau “Luch” on Wednesday announced the successful test firing of the Corsar light anti-tank missile.
“The Corsar missile system, developed by Kyiv Design Bureau “Luch”, successfully destroyed the target, at a distance of more than 2000 meters, in conditions of a strong side wind,” company announced at its page on Facebook.
According to the company, the light anti-tank missile system Corsar has a small mass – less than 14 kg – and small size. Despite this, Corsar’s firepower is enough to destroy all existing types of armored vehicles. At the same time, modern laser guidance system is responsible for the accuracy of the shot.
The Corsar light anti-tank missile system is intended to destroy stationary and moving modern armoured targets and other objects with combined, carried or monolithic armour, including ERA (explosive reactive armour), as well as pinpoint targets such as weapon emplacements, a tank in a trench, light-armoured objects and helicopters.
As of today, State Kyiv Design Bureau “Luch” is one of the leading developers of aircraft and anti-tank missile systems in Ukraine.
