President Poroshenko said that Ukraine had already made progress in strengthening its defense capabilities and set the task for the defense industry to work on the creation of long-range missiles.
The Head of State said: "Until recently, we were obliged to adhere to various restrictions in connection with the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty. And now we see that Russia has destroyed this Treaty. Everyone, including our partners, makes the necessary conclusions".
"We set the task for the design bureau and the defense industry: we need high-precision missile weapons of increased range of operation, capable of striking targets far into the rear of the enemy in response to the aggression," the President noted.
