Zhytomyr Armored Plant  handed over to the Ukrainian Army modernized IFV's

The Zhytomyr Armored Plant transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine a batch of repaired and upgraded infantry fighting vehicles within the framework of the state defense order.

In particular, according to a two-year contract from 2018, the State Enterprise "Zhytomyr Armored Plant" has transferred to the Ukrainian Army another party of seven updated infantry fighting vehicles – five BMP-1 and two BMP-2.

The Zhytomyr Armored Plant is a state enterprise, part of the Ukroboronprom concern, and specialises in the manufacturing, capital repairs and modernization of armored vehicles and equipment: BMP-1, BMP-2, BMD-1, BMD-2, GM-575, GM-568, GM-578, BREM-2, BTR-50PK, BTR-D, BRDM-2. The enterprise also performs major overhaul of certain units (in particular, diesel engines UTD-20, 5D20-240, V-2 and V-6, V2-500, V-55, YaMZ-236/238/240) and also manufactures spare parts for vehicles, non-standard and park equipment for troops and repair factories.
