Russian mercenaries use the declared ceasefire in Donbas to build up the engineering equipment of their advanced positions and place the mines along the highways.

Ukrinform reports with reference to the Ukraine’s Defence Ministry Spokesperson.

"The command of the operative group of the Russian occupation forces uses the ceasefire regime introduced on July 27 to build up the engineering equipment of the advanced positions. The enemy restores already existing ones and builds new trenches, dugout shelters, passages, equips additional places for firing,” Ukraine’s Defence Ministry Spokesperson Yulia Pampukha announced at a briefing with reference to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence.

In addition, the Spokesperson stressed, the occupiers place mine obstacles and anti-tank mines along the highways.

As reported, the full and comprehensive ceasefire was established in Donbas on July 27.
