The newly established 17th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces has announced that the official approval of its emblem is forthcoming. The design and symbolism are currently under review, with final confirmation expected soon.
"The shoulder patch of the 17th Army Corps has not yet been approved; however, its design and symbolism are in the coordination stage. Final approval is expected shortly, after which its image and meaning will be officially presented," the corps stated.
Both versions of the emblem feature the Latin motto: “Fortes Fortuna Adiuvat” — “Fortune favors the brave,” a classical proverb found in the works of ancient writers.
