Kharkiv-based Malyshev Plant and Morozov Design Bureau had completed testing of the BTR-4 armoured personnel carrier with a new body, the mass production of which will begin this year.
The two companies will manufacture the BTR-4 using their own production sources. This serial production approach will accelerate deliveries of the APCs to the Ukrainian army.
Previously, the BTR-4 body were manufactured only by the Lozova Forging-Mechanical Plant.
During the tests, the APCs drove hundreds of kilometres in difficult terrain and passed the test of fire, including from heavy machine guns.
