Yesterday, August 12, the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute launched the International Defense Investment Forum, co-hosted by Ukroboronprom State Concern. The main topic of this year's event is the prospects for the development of the defense industry in Ukraine for the period up to 2030.
Representatives of Ukrainian government, heads of state and private defense enterprises, diplomats, leading experts, scientists, investors attended the forum. Ukroboronprom is also one of the key participants.
"Ukrainian defense can and should become a driver for innovation, development of new weapons to protect our state," General Director of Ukroboronprom Yuriy Husyev said. "The forum, which takes place in the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, can and should draw attention of young people to defense in order to create technology. Technologies that will allow Ukraine's army to always win for the sake of our independence."
Directors of Ukroboronprom's enterprises take part in panel discussions and present their promising investment projects at the forum: Sokil-300 reconnaissance and strike drone (State Enterprise “State Kyiv Design Bureau “Luch”), launch of a domestic production line of ammunition of various types (Artem State Joint Stock Holding Company) and "Kvitnyk" high precision guided artillery projectile with laser semi-active homing (State Enterprise “Specialized Foreign Trade Firm “Progress”).
Besides, participants and guests of the event have the opportunity to get acquainted with the exhibition of innovative projects, which takes place in the framework of the X Festival "Sikorsky Challenge 2021: Ukraine and the world", as well as with the samples of products of various defense enterprises.
