On April 1, 2025, it was reported that a new army corps has been established in Kyiv, marking another step in the ongoing structural reform of Ukraine's Armed Forces. An officer, responding to an unrelated inquiry from the independent outlet "Fourth Power," revealed his position as the head of the command center for the 14th Army Corps.
"I currently serve as the head of the command center for the 14th Army Corps. We are transitioning to a corps-based system, and this corps has been established in Kyiv," the officer stated.
Details regarding the composition and structure of the 14th Corps remain undisclosed. Similarly, information about other newly formed army corps, such as the 12th Corps established in December 2024, is limited. The 12th Corps is known to function as an interdepartmental command body for various defense forces in Kyiv, including units from the Armed Forces, National Guard, and State Border Guard Service.
In contrast, the National Guard of Ukraine has officially disclosed the composition of its newly formed corps.
