Airbus Airbus will help train Ukrainian specialists for maintenance of Airbus aircraft

The joint-stock company Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom) and the European company Airbus signed a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation during the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget.

The memorandum marks the beginning of efforts to develop capabilities for maintenance and repair of Airbus aircraft operated in Ukraine. Ukroboronprom enterprises will train specialists to perform this work domestically.

As part of the cooperation, Airbus representatives plan to visit Ukraine to form groups of local professionals who will study the technologies and technical documentation. After training, these specialists will receive instructor status.

“Global high-tech companies are showing growing trust in our defense industry, especially in Ukroboronprom and its enterprises. This proves that we’ve chosen the right direction for development and international cooperation. I am confident we will establish more promising partnerships in aviation and other areas,” said Oleg Huliak, Director General of Ukroboronprom.
