The exercise is designed to evaluate and assess the readiness of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division to fight and win. The exercise also focuses on strengthening interoperability with multinational partners.
Other units participating in the Combined Resolve XIV are 1st Cavalry Division, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 18th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, CSSB, 407th Civil Affairs Battalion and 3rd Battalion 121st Infantry Regiment, 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Georgia National Guard.
Participating nations include France, Italy, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, Ukraine and United States. Nearly 3,500 participants from eight ally and partner nations will participate in Combined Resolve XIV at the U.S. Army’s Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels training areas September 2-29, 2020.
Combined Resolve is a Headquarters Department of the Army directed, Multinational Unified Land Operation exercise designed to build Regional Allocated Forces (RAF) brigade readiness and enhance interoperability to enable allied forces to fight and win against a peer or near peer threat in support of the U.S. European Command (EUCOM) commander.
