Ukraine and Romania have signed an intergovernmental agreement on military and technical cooperation

Ukraine and Romania have signed an intergovernmental agreement on military and technical cooperation, according to the Embassy of Ukraine in Romania.

This was reported by Ukrinform.

"On September 5, 2020, as part of an official visit to Bucharest, Defense Minister of Ukraine Andriy Taran and Minister of National Defense of Romania Nicolae Ciuca signed agreements between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Romania on cooperation in the military and technical sphere," reads a report posted on the Ukrainian Embassy's page on Facebook.

In particular, the intergovernmental agreement defines the legal basis for military and technical cooperation between the two countries, simplifies the procedure of public procurement in this area, and allows the two countries to expand the partnership aimed at strengthening security in the Black Sea region.
