President Zelensky honors the unit for exceptional courage on the battlefield
On May 23, 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed Decree No. 316/2025, officially awarding the 37th Separate Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy with the state honor “For Courage and Bravery.”
This distinction recognizes the unit’s resilience, professionalism, and heroism in defense of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity during the ongoing full-scale war with Russia.
Combat-Tested Formation with Rapid Impact
Formed during the full-scale invasion, the 37th Brigade represents Ukraine’s new generation of combat units. Despite its relatively recent establishment, the brigade has already earned a strong reputation within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The unit has been actively involved in key operations on the southern and eastern fronts, demonstrating reliable performance in both offensive and defensive roles.
