One soldier was killed and one wounded on July 10 after an anti-tank missile hit a military truck, which was traveling in a motorcade with the head of the state administration of thе Donetsk Oblast.
The incident took place on July 10 at the village’s exit in the direction of Hnutove checkpoint.
The shelling of the vehicle of the Ukrainian Army in Hranitne village is an attempt to undermine the Minsk process and endanger the restoration of negotiations in the Normandy format. It was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky when commenting on the shelling of the AFU vehicle.
“This blatant attack clearly showed who really doesn’t want peace in Donbas. I consider the shelling in Hranitne an attempt to undermine the Minsk process and endanger the agreements on the restoration of negotiations in the Normandy format. However, the expectations of the provocateurs will not come true. Our commitment to diplomatic solutions is immutable,” Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized.
The President commissioned Chief of the General Staff - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak to intensify the activity of the AFU on the detection and elimination of subversive groups and provide an immediate tough response to any attempts of armed provocations against Ukrainian civilians and servicemen.
Volodymyr Zelensky also expressed condolences to the family of the warriors killed in the AFU vehicle. He also wished fast recovery to the wounded defender/
