The ceasefire regime in Donbas since midnight July 27, 2020, is generally observed for the fourth week in a row, and isolated cases of its violation are not systemic.

This was reported by Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

In particular, during the past 24 hours, on August 16, this year, no ceasefire violations were recorded in Donbas. This was reported by the Main Situation Center under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

As of 7 a.m. on Monday, August 17, no shelling by enemy forces has been reported. Accordingly, servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not fire back.

The collection, accumulation and processing of information on the situation in the JFO zone are provided by the COTA software and hardware complex, which allows for a comprehensive analysis to prepare and make decisions in the sphere of national security and defense.

The OSCE SMM also did not record any ceasefire violations in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts: during August 16, 10 OSCE SMM patrols operated, and 5 UAV observation flights were conducted.

Technical inspection of the area and monitoring of the “silence” regime is underway.

Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov stressed that the Ukrainian side had made significant efforts to successfully hold the Trilateral Contact Group on July 22, this year, and is steadily fulfilling the agreements on full and comprehensive ceasefire.
