On March 24, as part of an official visit to the Republic of Turkey, the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, visited ASELSAN.

ASELSAN Vice Presidents Mr. Bayram Gençcan and Mr. Osman Devrim Fidancı welcomed Colonel General Syrsky and ASELSAN UKRAINE General Director Mr. Mehmet Özgüçlü has briefed him on Air Defense, Anti-Drone, RWS and Tank Modernization solutions of ASELSAN that are already in service of Turkish Armed Forces as well as the allied forces.

Turkish defense company ASELSAN opened its local company ASELSAN UKRAINE (100% owned by ASELSAN) in September 2020. ASELSAN UKRAINE (ASUK) is planning to have an official opening ceremony of its office located in Leonardo Business Center, Kyiv in June 2021.

ASELSAN UKRAINE is headed by Mr. Mehmet Özgüçlü who is in communication with Ukrainian MoD, Armed Forces as well as Ukrainian Defense Industry Companies in order to be in service of Ukraine with broad ASELSAN product spectrum. Together with its partners in Ukrainian Defense Industry ASELSAN accomplished successful export projects to several 3rd countries.

ASUK aims to increase cooperation for mutual export opportunities and joint development projects. For this very purpose, ASELSAN UKRAINE is also participating in the AUDM.

Projects:

For Ukraine Armed Forces and potential export customers, ASUK is planning to conduct firing demonstration of ASELSAN SARP RWS and ALKAR Mortar System in 2021 together with the major Ukrainian military vehicle manufacturers.

Apart from the Defense Systems, ASUK is also ready to provide solutions to Ukraine such as artificial lungs ventilation machines (AVL) for the emergency rooms at Ukrainian hospitals. In fact, ASELSAN has already provided a large quantity of artificial lungs ventilation machines (AVL) and transfer of technology for local production of those AVL’s to Kazakhstan in 2020.
